Six adults plus day-trip gear wants two rentals. PR-22 is the spine of nearly every trip, so confirm an AutoExpreso toll transponder in each car at the counter, or you'll eat toll-by-plate fees all week. The two-car setup also covers the split on the one late San Juan night.
Same-day walk-in registration, the way it's always worked. We stop at Green Spirit Rx in Condado on the drive in Saturday. Medical use only, no public or beach consumption, and nothing can fly home, so it stays at the house. Confirm Saturday clinic hours before the trip.
SuperMax or Econo in Vega Baja, or the larger stores in Dorado, both 10 to 20 minutes out. Stock the cook nights on arrival day so there's no repeat run.
